Can you believe we made it to the end of Season 1? 🎉
If you’ve been listening from Episode 1, you now have a complete roadmap for how to start a virtual assistant business from scratch. This first season was designed as a mini masterclass walking you step by step through launching, marketing, and landing clients.
But here’s the truth…
Most people don’t get stuck because they lack information.
They get stuck because they stop taking action.
In this Season 1 finale, Abbey breaks down:
• The difference between learning mode and building mode
• Why “research mode” keeps so many aspiring VAs stuck
• How perfectionism disguises itself as productivity
• The fear gap vs the knowledge gap
• How to identify what’s actually holding you back
• Why everything in business is just Draft 1
• The power of taking the next right step
After training over 7,000 virtual assistants, Abbey has seen the same pattern over and over again. The VAs who succeed are not the most talented. They are not the most experienced. They are the ones who choose action over perfection.
If you’ve been waiting to feel ready, this episode is your reminder:
You don’t need all the steps.
You don’t need perfect clarity.
You don’t need full confidence.
You just need enough courage to take the next bold step.

Hey, hey, you are tuned into Work From Anywhere with the Virtual Savvy, where you learn how to launch and grow your virtual assistant business because you deserve work that fits your life, not the other way around. All right, friend. Let's get started.
Can you believe we have made it to the final episode of season one of our podcasts? I hope that you've been enjoying the Work From Anywhere with The Virtual Savvy podcast. this has been such a fun, new thing to create and experiment with, and isn't that what we should always be doing in business? Experimenting, try new things, seeing what we love, seeing what we don't love.
It's all part of the process. So I hope that you have enjoyed coming along this journey with me. Now, if this for some reason is the first episode you are tuning into, I would highly, highly suggest you go back to the first episode of this first season, because really what we did in this first season is we broke down a roadmap for you, a roadmap of what it looks like to start a virtual assistant business completely from scratch, and I really, really enjoyed putting this together for you. There is a lot of highly actionable material inside of season one, so make sure, go back, listen to it, binge it, set aside some time to really go through, it's like a little mini masterclass on how to launch your business.
So, , want to make sure that you do that. But honestly, if there is just one thing that you take away from this podcast is that I want you to be the type of person that just takes action. We have a saying here at the Virtual Savvy that we choose action over perfection, and there is a reason why I harp on that so much like, yes. Abbey, I know you've said that so many times.
Yes, I do. And I'll continue saying it because , after a decade of training virtual assistants, after training over 7,000 VAs, through our program, I have seen where people get stuck People get into research mode. I've just gotta learn a little bit more. If I just learn this new platform, if I, if I have a little bit more knowledge, then I'll be be ready, which just simply isn't true.
It's just an excuse. People get into tinker mode, right? Maybe. Maybe you're not in research mode. Maybe you're the tinker. Well, I just gotta, I've just gotta tweak my portfolio a little bit more. I've just gotta tweak my website, or I gotta tweak my logo a little bit more. If that is what you're falling into, I highly suggest that you just set a deadline by, the end of the day, tomorrow, 5:00 PM tomorrow, whatever I have as my logo done.
That's what I'm moving forward with. Because the thing is, guys, is that everything just has to be a draft one at this point, you will probably change it. Like whatever you come up with in your business, you're probably gonna change it at some point, and that's okay because it's all about just staying in motion, right?
Staying continuing, moving forward. Okay guys, there is a difference between learning and building, and we've got to be in building mode. We've got to be in actual action mode, okay? So I want you to really take a step back and evaluate what is it that is potentially stopping me right. Because you probably do have some fears and, and I get that, like I'm not saying that you, you know, that I didn't have fears, that's for sure.
Right. I had a ton of fears when I first got started, but I think one of the best things that you can do is to really look at your fears straight on. Like what are they call 'em out. Are you thinking, can I actually do this? Do I have the skills? Am I too late? Is the industry too saturated? Are you thinking, yeah, but what if I fail?
What if I start this and no one hires me? Right? The best thing that you can do is to really sit back. I mean, literally, you can pause this podcast right now if you want to, and just ask yourself, what is it? What is it? What is that thing that's actually holding me back? Right? Because I have seen with most people, it's one of two things.
You either have a knowledge gap or you have a fear gap. Okay. The knowledge gap is, I really want to do this. Like, I'm not necessarily scared, I just, I just don't know what to do, right? I just dunno what the next step is. We can talk about that in a moment, or maybe you know what to do. But you're like, I, I know what I need to do.
I'm just scared, right? So if it's a fear gap, I really highly encourage you to call out what that fear is. And let's face it with truth. You know, I am skilled, right? I have all of this experience from my past jobs. I am smart. I can learn new skills. The industry isn't too saturated. In fact, there are more jobs being posted now than ever.
What if I fail? What if someone doesn't hire me? What if I get rejected? You'll get back up, right? This is not without rejection. You will get rejected at some point. There is a little bit of truth to that, but if you just keep going, this will work. And I think that it's that fighting the fear with truth, which is so important.
Now, if there is a knowledge gap, if you're like Abbey, like I, I, I'm scared, but I'm ready to face my fear, I just. Don't know what to do. I do want to highly encourage you to check out the Savvy System. Our Savvy System Accelerator is a 90 day roadmap to help you launch your business and land your first client.
In those 90 days. So we work with you hardcore. We actually spend the first 30 days launching your business. So all of those quick decisions, what are my services? What is my rate? What are my packages going to be? How do I price those in a way that's gonna have that reoccurring income coming in? How do I choose?
My brand name and my logo and the colors and onboarding a client, and what does a discovery call look like and how do I do those? Well, we set all of that up in the first 30 days so that the second 60 days of that 90 days is marketing, marketing, marketing. It comes this weekly coaching. You're going to have sessions with me where you can ask me anything, anywhere where you're getting stuck in your business.
We have job opportunities exclusive. To those enrolled in our programs, it's step by step. You'll know exactly what to do next. We give you all the templates and scripts that you need, so it's very, very, very easy to get started. If that's something you're interested in, go to savvy system.com right now.
You can go type it in and you're gonna be able to check out that right now. And I wanna offer a little something special just because you tuned into this podcast. If you go into the coupon section and just write the Word podcast, you're gonna get an extra 10% off the cost of the program. Shh. Don't tell anybody.
And again, I wanna encourage you, you are absolutely closer than you think you are to launching this business. You do have the skills. You do have what it takes. It just requires you being bold, taking that next bold step. So I wanna end with this. You don't have to have all the steps, right? You don't have to have every single step mapped out, and you don't have to have, even have enough bravery for all the steps, right?
You just have to have enough bravery and enough boldness to do the next right thing. So your big takeaway for today is what is the next right thing? Maybe it's time to post on your social media about your business. Maybe it's time to finally just decide on that business name already. Maybe it's to enroll in the Savvy System Accelerator.
Whatever it is for you, what is the next bold step that you need to take? Go ahead and commit to yourself and bonus points, go commit to someone else too. We love accountability partners here at the Virtual Savvy. Commit and say, I'm going to do it. I'm just going to take the next right step. What is that for you?
Thank you so much. That wraps up season one of the Work From Anywhere with The Virtual Savvy podcast. i'm so, so excited for season two. We've got some really exciting things coming for y'all. Thanks again.
